About this event
During The Smart Port Week (SPW), The Beacon hosts and organizes a series of events and activities, focused on the topic of smart ports. The objective is to physically gather technology companies, academia, public authorities and companies active in the port, maritime and logistics industry. The Beacon always tries to provide new and cutting-edge content, in diverse concepts such as seminars, ideation sessions and site visits.
What can you expect from this event?
• Gain insights, together with the experts of IMEC and Forward Belgium, on how to collaborate on a concrete project around the challenges listed below;
• Learn all about available funding and grants;
• Exchange expertise and experiences with colleagues from the sector over a bite and a drink.
PROGRAM
• 17.30 - 18.30: Brainstorm "AI in forwarding"
Presentation state of play COOCK Smart Port 2025 and Physical Internet Living Lab + brainstorm about the following topics:
1. How can we robotize time-consuming data input to save both time and money and free up employees to serve customers even better?
2. How can we make the logistics chain more predictable and thus more efficient?
3. How can AI be used for compliance, risk management and fraud detection?
4. How can technology support you in setting up CO2 reporting?
• 19.00 - 21.00: Matchmaking reception between digital technology providers and port and logistics companies
FOR WHOM?
Members of Forward Belgium and Alfaport and other representatives of port & logistics companies.
Technology providers. To safeguard quality, we will restrict the number of representatives of technology companies to two persons per company.
Members of The Beacon Community will have the possibility to represent their company with a small company booth (high table and chairs provided ; roll-up banner or TV screen to be provided by the Member). This is restricted to The Beacon Community Members.
PRACTICAL INFORMATION
This is a free and publicly accessible event. We do charge a no-show fee of 50 EUR to registrants who don't show up, unless this has been timely communicated to the organization (24h).
