[Workshop] Ubuntu Core hands-on – Managed edge IoT platform

Join us on October 3rd when the OpenCloudification team (TheBeacon, imec IDLab and LSEC) will be hosting an Ubuntu Core workshop.

Ubuntu Core is a fully managed open-source operating system for edge devices. It ships with device management and edge service lifecycle management built in. For more information on this platform, take a look at our Ubuntu Core Introduction.

The event is free to attend but requires prior registration. It’s a physical-only event that will take place at Frame 21, Diamantstraat 8/214 B, Herentals, Vlaams Gewest, 2200.

Participation is free, but registration through Eventbrite is required upfront, latest on October 1st 2023.

Registration

This event is free to attend, upon registration in advance through Eventbrite and is required upfront, latest on October 1st 2023. However, please do take into account that for a no-show, or non-attendance, you will be charged – invoice of 150 EUR – excl VAT. This is mainly to cover facilities and catering.

Requirements

  • A laptop with VirtualBox or VMWare player installed.
  • We will provide participants with a Linux virtual machine a week before the workshop.
  • We provide the edge devices (Raspberry pi’s).
